Section: Module 3: Lesson 2: Mitosis | Biology | NextGenU.org
-
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the different stages of mitosis, and the events in each stage or phase.
- Describe the stages of the cell cycle's G1, S, G2, and M phases, cell division, control, and cell cycle.
-
-
In this learning activity, you will discuss any two phases of the mitotic phase of the cell cycle. You will elaborate on the events that occur and the length of time a cell spends in the selected mitotic phases. (100 min)
Instructions:
Step 1: Analyze
Review the required learning materials for this lesson.
Step 2: Respond
Prepare a 250-300 word piece describing the phase of the cell cycle you selected. Your response should address the following points:
- Explain the importance of cell replication.
- Describe the mitotic phases you chose.
- Explain the significance of each phase you selected.
