    • Scenario 1

      Diane was bitten by a dog when she was a little girl. This experience made her develop an intense fear of dogs. One day she was jogging in the park, and suddenly a vicious dog appeared in front of her. This made her get into a state of fear and panic, and she quickly ran away. (100 mins)

      Scenario 2

      Sheila recently learned that she has Type 2 diabetes. As her doctor, you need to explain to Sheila how her body’s regulation of glucose in the body is different from that of a person who is not diabetic.

      Review the required learning materials for this lesson and decide which scenario you would like to analyze.

      Select one scenario and prepare a 250-300 word piece that explains how the endocrine system works. Your response should address the following points: 

      • The hormones being released and why for the scenario selected.
      • How hormones are regulated for excretory and digestive systems in the selected scenario.
      • The feedback mechanism.
