    • In this activity, you will gather information and make a concept map analysis of three different approaches across regions used to optimize Indigenous populations’ health.

      Step 1. Research [30 minutes]

Look for information about different approaches used to optimize Indigenous populations’ health through a just allocation of healthcare resources and access to healthcare services across the following regions:

      • Asia
      • Africa
      • Americas
      • Europe
      • Australia

      Step 2. Analyze [30 minutes]

Select three regions and analyze the approaches used in these regions to optimize Indigenous populations, including the following components:

      • Approaches related to the allocation of resources and health service provision to individuals, families, and communities
      • Other methods and approaches used to address the mental health and substance addiction problems of the Indigenous population.
      • Distinct characteristics and strengths of these approaches

      Step 3. Respond [200 minutes]

Create a one-page [A4 size] concept map to show the interconnectedness of your three chosen regions in terms of their different approaches and components mentioned in Step 2. Include a 100-300 word explanation of how these approaches can be adapted to your own region’s Indigenous populations.

      Step 4. Share [10 minutes]

To share your work, click on the “Add a new discussion topic” button under this post and paste your work into the “message” box. Step 5: Evaluate [10 minutes]

OPTIONAL Step 6: Interact (10 minutes)

If you would like to, you can reply to your peers' posts in a respectful and professional manner.
